Fort Bend Herald, December 20, 2009: Lillian Mary Miculek, 88, of West Columbia, passed away Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at Country Village Care Nursing Home in Angleton. A funeral mass for Lillian will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21, at St. John's Catholic Church in West Columbia, with the Rev. Ralph Roberts officiating. Burial will be at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Cemetery in Damon following the mass. The family will receive friends 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary, Sunday, Dec. 20, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home in West Columbia. Lillian was was born Sept. 11, 1921 in Ellinger to Amalie Dirba and Vinc Prihoda. She was the big sister to seven brothers and four sisters. For 35 years, she was the devoted wife of Wesley Miculek. She was the loving mother of two sons, Wesley Jr. and Steven, who cherished her. During her life, Lillian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a long-time resident of West Columbia and was devoted to the Catholic Church. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley George Miculek; son, Wesley George Miculek Jr.; parents, Amalie and Vinc Prihoda; sister, Pat Dines; and brothers: Eddie, Emil, Jerry, Jim, Johnnie and Willie. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Steven Miculek and wife, Robin, of Needville; sisters: Ellie Havlik and Bettie Rab of Angleton, and Marie Svoboda of Damon; brother, Frank Prihoda of Rosenberg; daughter-in-law, Marcia Miculek of Angleton; two grandsons, Chad Miculek and wife, Sally, of Austin, and Steven Miculek Jr. and wife, Courtney, of Needville; two granddaughters, Erin Wilkinson and husband, Josh, of College Station, and Mauri Miculek of Austin; great-grandchildren: Iris and Camilla Miculek, Sydney and David Wilkinson, and Lindy Miculek; and many nieces and nephews remain to celebrate the Lillian's life. Pallbearers include Conald Chierighino, Shane Dines, Wayne Kennedy, Alton Prihoda, Emil Prihoda Jr., Johnnie Prihoda Jr., Michael Prihoda and Roger Richter.
