Bio

On his Texas Death Certificate it listed Phillip Huser as his father, an Anna Zapalka as mother. We, the undersigned Resolution Committee of Lodge Komensky No. 20 Granger, Texas, for and in behalf of our members, wish herewith to express our deepest sympathy to the bereaved family of our departed brother, JOHN HUSER. Brother Huser, a retired farmer, passed away early Saturday morning, July 13th, 1963, in a Taylor nursing home at the age of 86. He was born in Czechoslovakia on Aug. 17th, 1876. He was a member of the Granger Brethren Church and a member of Lodge Komensky since November 8th, 1903. In 1906, he was married to Miss Frances Tomancak[sic], who survives him. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ed Kropp of Taylor and Mrs. Lois Marek of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Mrs. Josie Pilat, Miss Ann Huser, both of Houston and Mrs. Vera Zapalac of Taylor; one brother, Frank Huser of Taylor. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Monday morning, July 15th, at the Condra Funeral Chapel in Taylor with the Rev. Josef A. Barton officiating. Burial was in the Brethren Cemetery in Granger. May our departed brother rest in eternal peace.
