Dorothy was the daughter of George Edwin Humiston & Mary Fleming. Great Barrington, Mass. -- Dorothy M Taggart, 73, a former resident of Glens Falls, NY and Bolton Landing, NY. died March 20 in Great Barrington after a long illness. Mrs. Taggart was born on Jan 29, 1910, in Sudbury, VT., the daughter of George and Mary Emmaline Flemmings Humiston. She had been a resident of Great Barrington since 1960. Survivors are: her husband, Neil Taggart: a son, Michael Gilmore of Great Barrington; two daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Betty) Baldfour of South Glens Falls, NY and Jean Gilmore of Schenectady, NY.: four stepsons, Fredrick Shortsleeves of Catskill, NY.; Joseph Shortsleeves of Fort Edward, NY.; Gilbert "Pete" Shortsleeves of Florida and Bruce Taggart of Great Barrington: two stepdaughters, Mrs. Paul (Eelyn) McAuley of Schenectady and Mrs. Joseph Keefner of Lee: a brother, Arthur Humiston of Brandon, VT.; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Hickey Birch Funeral Home. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery, Great Barrington. (Published in The Post-Star, Glens Falls, NY.) Mar 28,1983
