Bio

Lowell Boyd Schuldt, age 85, of Van Wert, Iowa, the son of Louis and Pearl Blondel (Hatfield) Schuldt, was born August 2, 1932, at Leon, Iowa. He passed away at his home on Friday, March 16, 2018. Boyd grew up in Iowa’s Clarke and Decatur Counties and attended country schools and Van Wert School. On March 3, 1951, he married June Elaine Brammer. He and Elaine were blessed with two children, Lyle and Cathy. In earlier years, Boyd worked as a heavy equipment operator on road construction. Later, he raised cattle and hauled cattle for hire. He also maintained the roads in Van Wert for many years. Boyd dearly loved his family; he especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; four brothers, infant Wayne, Layton, Lyman, and Lane; and two sisters, Darlyne Norman and Wanda Schneider.
