The Frontier and Holt County Independent (O'Neill, Nebraska) 02 Oct 1958, Thu Page 12 Funeral Services For C.E. Brittell Held At Neligh. Coy Eugene "Bus" Brittell, 55, well known Neligh farmer and a former resident of the Chambers community, died Sunday, September 20th at the Methodist hospital in Omaha, where he had been hospitalized since Sept. 14. Funeral services were held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. from the Methodist church at Neligh with the Rev. Claude Copley and Rev. L. Bridgden of Clearwater in charge. Burial was in the Laurel Hill cemetery. Coy Brittell was born February 18, 1903 to Mr. and Mrs. Francis Brittell at O'Neill. Shortly after his birth he accompanied his parents to Anteloope county. Mr. Brittell resided in the Neligh and Clearwater area, along with the years he lived at Chambers. He was married to EttaWood of Verdigre in the spring of 1924 and two children were born to this union. Survivors are his wife, a son Dewey of Norfolk, a daughter Mrs. Arnie Mace Jr. of O'Neill, two grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Ray Conard of Tekamah, Mrs. Mearl Sparks of Norfolk and Mrs. Dave Morsback of Inman, and seven brothers, Rollie of Laurel, Lloyd of O'Neill, Dee of Palmdale, Calif., Allen of Phoenix, Fay of Atkinson, Gordon of Norfolk and Ralph of Albion.
