Bio

Daughter of Henry & Lina (Grossnicklaus) Luchsinger. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church (Shell Creek) and received her education at District #10. She married Walter Michaelsen on August 12, 1931 in Ord, Nebraska. The farmed near Richland, Nebraska and north of Columbus until 1942 when they moved to Harvard, Nebraska. After the death of her husband on June 10, 1944, the family moved back to Columbus. In 1967 she moved to Norfolk, Nebraska to be near her daughter. While residing in Norfolk, she was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Garden Gate Garden Club and secretary of the Norfolk Women's Garden Council. She returned to Columbus in 1976. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church , Trinity's Ladies Aide and Naomi's Women's Group.
