Bio
Anna Luke (Grace), 90, was called home to be with our Lord on February 4, 2021. She was born March 14, 1930 in Muenster, Texas, as the youngest of 11 children. Married for 68 years, she met her husband Paul in the 3rd grade. Their romance began in the 5th grade when they started passing notes to each other. While Paul was serving in the Army overseas during the Korean War, Grace wrote him daily. To this day, Paul claims she made him the "most admired man in the whole company." They married in 1952, shortly after Paul's return. In 1961, they moved to Dallas where they lovingly raised their two children. Grace was a devoted mother who instilled strong values in her children. Devout in her faith, she and Paul were members of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church for 60 years. Grace was an avid sports fan, often watching more than one game at a time. She was a talented quilter, skilled Bridge player, and adept crossword puzzle solver. Grace was blessed with two granddaughters who she enjoyed immensely. She was thrilled to become a great-grandmother this past year. Grace is survived by her husband Paul Luke, daughter Ruth Thomas (Paul), granddaughters Jennifer Brandt (Christopher) and Michelle Richardson (Michael), and great-grandchildren Grace, Luke, and Nathan. Grace was preceded in death by her son Ken Luke.
