Geraldine Borel, 81, of Leesville, passed from this life on Monday, December 1, 2008 in Lake Charles. Survivors include her sons, Felix Borel, Jr. and wife Joan of Benton, Ark., Robert Borel and wife Judy of Columbus, Ga., Marvin Borel and wife Terry of Leesville; daughter, Della Floyd and husband, John David of Magnolia, Texas; stepson, Dean Borel of Franklin; stepdaughter, Adelia Hudson of Wash., Alice Moore and husband Harold of Pearland, Texas.; adopted daughter, Pamela Borel of Lake Charles; sisters, Otte Brister of DeRidder; 14 Grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; three great-greatgrandchildren; 13 step grandchildren; 10 step great-grandchildren; 15 step great-great-grandchildren; special niece, Debbie Hale; a large number of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends and best friend of 58 years, Joyce McDaniel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Angelina Ashworth; husband Felix Joseph Borel, Sr.; sons, Tommy Joe Borel and John Jackson; step son, Melvin Borel; brothers, Lonnie Ashworth and Dock Ashworth; sister, Myrtle Lee Hood. Services were held on Thursday, December 4, 2008, 1 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Chapel of Leesville, the Rev. Terry Ward officiated.
