HAS A TOMBSTONE IN SAINT ANN CEMETERY IN WEBSTER COUNTY, NEBRASKA OMAHA - Susan D. L'Heureux, 70, of Omaha, formerly of Wolbach and Grand Island, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2021, at CHI Health Lakeside Hospital - Omaha. Her family will be greeting friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday at All Faiths Funeral Home with Christian Wake Service beginning at 6. Cremation will take place following, with burial of her ashes at a later date in the HILLSIDE CEMETERY IN WOLBACH. Published by The Grand Island Independent on Aug. 4, 2021 ———————————- Susan D. L'Heureux, 70 of Omaha formerly of Wolbach and Grand Island died on Monday, August 2, 2021 at CHI Health Lakeside Hospital-Omaha of Pulmonary Fibrosis. Her family will be greeting friends from 5-6 PM Sunday, August 8th at All Faiths Funeral Home with Christian Wake Service beginning at 6 PM. Leading the Wake and Rosary is Father Don Buhrman. Cremation will take place following, with burial of her ashes at a later date in the Hillside Cemetery in Wolbach. Susan was born on August 10, 1950, in St. Paul, NE the daughter of William Jr. and Mary Pauline (McKenzie) Grossart. She was raised in Wolbach, NE and graduated from Wolbach High School as Valedictorian of her class. Susan earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Kearney State College in 1972. She married William O'Gorman at Visitation Church Catholic Church in O'Connor, NE on October 21, 1972. This union was blessed with two boys, Tracy and Travis O'Gorman. Susan taught Home Economics in various High Schools including Elgin Public Schools, Greeley Public Schools, and Grand Island Northwest. Other jobs included Bridal Seamstress at Schwesers in G I, Monfort Meat Packing (Quality Control), Thompson Company, and Gage Foods (Food Distribution). She married Verlyn L'Heureux on June 28, 1989 and moved to Omaha, NE. She helped Verlyn build a very successful coffee business. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Gretna. She loved life, enjoyed traveling, scrapbooking, sewing, and making life easier for her children and grandchildren. She loved watching her grandchildren perform dance and loved watching them play baseball and basketball. Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Tracy (Kate) O'Gorman of Papillion and Travis (Amy) O' Gorman of Elkhorn; Grandchildren, Alexandria (Matt) Stice, Triston, Dylan, Nevan, Eamon, and Quinten; her sister, Rita Lammers (Jerry) of Grand Island, Rosanne (Dan) Christensen of Wolbach, and her brother, Bill (Pam) Grossart of Grand Island and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Junior and Pauline Grossart and several aunts and uncles, especially Willa Berney and Dorothy Fenton.
