Bio

David Abbott, 66, of Columbus, Nebraska, went to eternal rest on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at Mory's Haven in Columbus. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 11:00 A.M. at the Gass Haney Funeral Home with Rev. Patrick Sparling officiating. David was born on May 4, 1952, in Osceola, Nebraska, to Verlon "Gene" and Joan (Winget) Abbott. They moved to El Monte, California where David graduated from El Monte High School. In 1999, David moved back to Nebraska where he worked as a nurses aid and also worked at various fast food restaurants in Columbus. David was a member of the 1-C Church in Columbus. He enjoyed spending time with animals and had a passion for raising plants. David is survived by two sisters, 12 nieces and nephews, 25 great nieces and nephews and 4 great great nieces and nephews David was preceded in death by father Verlon Abbott, mother Joan Winget, 2 nieces 1 nephew, 1 great nephew and 1 great great niece
