8/3/1940:JOHN DENNIS TOWE Services for John Dennis Towe, pioneer Yukon farmer and stockman who died following a heart attack Thursday afternoon at the stockyards here, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Turner funeral home at Yukon with Rev. F.A. Dunning officiating. Burial will be in the Yukon cemetery. Towe had lived near Yukon since 1900 and was active in farm and stock circles of Canadian county. He was secretary of the Canadian Farmers' union and the state farmer's union and was a member of the local committee of the AAA. He was a Mason and a member of the American Legion. Towe would have been 46 years old Friday. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Alvin Stout, Piedmont; his parents, MR. and Mrs. W.H. Towe, Yukon; four sisters, Mrs. Perry Whetstone, 3128 NW 20th St.; Mrs. John McKinney, Yukon; Mrs. Glenn Hagar, Chattanooga, Okla., and Mrs. George Leighton, Calumet, and three brothers, W>I. And W.W. Towe, Yukon , and Glenn Towe, Pasadena, Calif.
