Bio

SIDES, J. P. "Doc" of San Antonio. Age 64. Died (Thursday) 9/8/1977 in a San Antonio hospital following a heart attack. Funeral services were held (Sat.) at 10 a.m. in the Sunset Memorial Park Funeral Home in San Antonio. Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. Norman Abbott officiated. He was BORN 8/3/1913, below Shiloh in the Florence Comm. on "Grandfather Sides farm", the son of the late John D. & Laura Howe Sides. Married to the former Lois Noack. Reared in the Hare Comm. and lived there prior to moving to San Antonio more than 30 years ago. He was a retired employee of the Pearl Brewery in San Antonio. Member of the Concordia Lutheran Church and was active until he became ill. SURVIVORS: Wife, Lois Noack Sides; 2 daughters, Mrs. Michael Ball, Mrs. Wesley, both of San Antonio; sisters, Mrs. Olga Kelm, Clara L (Doll) Roepke both of Round Rock; brother, Johnnie (Blackie) Sides of Round Rock; 5 grandchildren; a great-grandchild.
