Bio

Son of Arthur C. & Elsa (Osten) Hellbusch. He attended St. John's Lutheran Grade School, Creston and Seward High Schools. Vernon attended Concordia Teachers College, Seward, Nebraska from 1953 - 1957, Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois from 1961 - 1965 and Concordia College, St. Paul, Minnesota from 1985 - 1986. Vernon lived in New Jersey, California, Colorado and Missouri, before moving to Columbus in 1997 due to illness. Throughout his career, he worked as a Director of Christian Outreach, as a Parish Administrator, Director of Christian Education, Assistant Principal, Day Care Administrator and as a teacher. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Vernon is survived by: Mother - Elsa Hellbusch - Columbus, NE Son - Michael Hellbusch Special Friend - Delores Betz - Colonia, NJ Vernon was preceded in death by: Father - Arthur C. Hellbusch
