Bio

Adeline "Eldeen" A. Matulka She was born March 1, 1928 in Bruno, NE to Joseph and Tillie (Pekarek) Rejda. She graduated from Brainard High School. Eldeen married Joseph Robert Matulka June 1, 1949 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ulysses, Nebraska. Joseph died December 24, 1969 in a grain bin collapse. She married Joseph's first cousin, Alois Louis Matulka in 1973 in Ulysses, Nebraska, and became the stepmother of Louis and Leslie. Eldeen grew up on a farm near Ulysses she also helped at the grocery store her parents owned in Brainard and Bruno. She volunteered at the Catholic Quote newspaper in Valparaiso. She was a member of Sts. Mary & Joseph Catholic Church in Valparaiso. She enjoyed gardening, growing flowers and her cats.
