Bio
Luther Martin Hughes was a Baptist Minister that had the week end tent revivals. He also showed up on a Historical Marker at Georgtown Texas as one of the owners of the Home Place just west of Georgetown as one of the pioneers in Williamson County. He died in 1923 of Typhoid Fever Dallas Texas. _____________________________ Comment below ↓ by Tony Hughes 52361992: Luther Martin Hughes married Susan Rachel walker 1918 flu, And had 5 children my grandfather being born in 1906 in weir TX Thomas Bethel Hughes Sr., Luther purchased 317 acres of property west of Georgetown that was passed to other family members ending with Charles Hughes that sold in 1962. Donated to city of Georgetown and Recreation park was built on sight called Garey park. Luther married again 1920 Minnie Chapman/Alcorn. Minnie already had 2, 5,6 year old. Minnie had 2 babies with Luther both died western heights cemetery along with son Lewis Cass Hughes/wed 1920 Althea, daughter, flu, Minnie wife, Luther typhoid 1923 western heights. Back cemetery in open area 7 Hughes graves no markers. Also a historical marker on said property with LM HUGHES MENTIONED BY STATE OF TEXAS. AND HELP TO FIND BURIAL LOCATION IS APPRECIATED.
