Obituary: Sullivan Progress, Sullivan, Illinois, 4 Dec 1925 - Mrs. Sarah G. Webb, mother of Mrs. Floyd Selby of this city, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. A. Ellis in Whitley township on Thanksgiving Day. Her death was caused y pneumonia and the infirmities of old age. She was born in Tennessee, October 28, 1849 and was united in marriage in that state in 1870 with J. W. Webb who has preceded her in death. About forty three years ago the couple came to this state and spent the rest of their life in this county. They lived on a farm in Jonathan Creek township the greater part of the time. Four children survive. They are Nora, wife of E. A. Ellis; W. F. Webb of Jonathan Creek; Walter Webb of Chicago and Olga, wife of Floyd Selby of this city. There are five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Ira Blythe, were held at the Mt. Zion Church Friday. Mrs. Ellis had since her youth been a member of the M. E. Church. The remains were laid to rest in Mt. Zion Cemetery. The pallbearers were John Furness, Charles Phillips, Oscar Nash, M. O. Rominger, Albert Gilmer and Ellis Hunt.
