James Dale Zycha age 67 of Taylor, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Scott and White Hospital in Round Rock. James was born on September 8, 1953, in Taylor, TX to Joe and Mildred (Zezulka) Zycha. James worked as a house painter for over 20 years before retiring. He loved good barbecue, Cincinnati Reds baseball and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He enjoyed back-roading, the company of family and friends, and sitting outside listening to Polka. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mildred Zycha; brother Leo Zycha and sister Lillian Crisp. James is survived by his daughters, Tina Wilkerson and husband Keith of Smithville, Kacy Zycha of Rockdale; sons, J.D. Zycha and wife Kristen of Rockdale, Dalton Zycha of Taylor; sisters, Irene Bucanek of Taylor, Darlene Pyle and husband John of Taylor; grandchildren, Emma, Noah, Novalea, Tyler, Arianna, Dawson and Jensen; along with numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life for James is scheduled for Saturday, June 24, 2021, at 2 PM at the VFW Hall in Thorndale.
