Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent Wednesday, 15 May 1991 FULLERTON, Calif. - Alice Irene Rose, 90, of Fullerton, Calif., formerly of Central City, died Friday, May 10, Carriage House Manor Convalescent Hospital in Fullerton, Calif. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Central City Cemetery. Solt Funeral Home in Central City is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Rose was born Nov. 6, 1900, at Ulysses to William and Luella (Wakefield) Gibson. She graduated from Ulysses High School. She worked at Eoff General Store and she taught school in Central City before her marriage. She married Gilbert Rose on March 24, 1924. They owned the Ford dealership in St. Paul, Palmer and Central City. They moved to Anaheim, Calif., in 1956. Mr. Rose died Oct. 22, 1963. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Kensington. Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Heuck of Brea, Calif.; one son, Gilbert Jr. of Anaheim; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and 10 brothers and sisters.
