Bio
Josephine M. "Jo" Rolland, 106, formerly of Bode, passed away on Monday morning June 28, 2021 at the Long Term Care Unit of the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. She was born July 1, 1914 in West Bend, Iowa the daughter of Paul and Susanna (Fuchson) Bonnstetter. She was ahead of her time, graduating from West Bend High School and going on to attend Beauty School. She was united in marriage to Marcus Rolland in 1936 and the couple made their home in Bode. Jo is survived by her sons Robert Rolland of Waukee and Daryl (Paula) Rolland of DeKalb, Illinois, her grandchildren Mark Rolland and Alex & Michael Sparks and her great-grandson Jack, as well as, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marcus, four brothers and five sisters. Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery in Bode. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service is in charge of the arrangements.
