Bio

Audra Jo and her family moved to Bishop CA in 1950. She became fast friends with fellow skier Jill Kinmont , and they were among the first to ski at Mammoth Mountain with the resort's developer, Dave McCoy. Audra Jo contracted polio when she was 17 and spent four months in an iron lung. While attending UCLA, she met her physical therapist husband Lee. They lived in Santa Monica and Bishop CA, Genoa and Minden NV, and Kona HI. After Lee's death she lived in Kona, in El Cajon CA, and in northern GA.
