Robert "Bob" Aldridge , 86, of Brownwood, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. Bob was born July 9, 1934 in Democrat, Texas to George and Lois Aldridge. He graduated high school in Zephyr and received a Business Degree from Howard Payne University. Bob married Thurstene Venable August 20, 1960 and their union was blessed with 2 children. Bob joined the U.S. Army and served his country in the Korean War. He loved living on the land where he was born on in Democrat and raising goats. Bob was a character and was able to captivate people with his charm and personality. He worked for himself in sales and his personality was what made him successful. Most of all, Bob adored his 5 granddaughters, 2 grandsons and 13 great grandchildren. Nothing made him happier than attending their activities and spending time with family. Bob is survived by his son, Robert Aldridge of Saginaw; daughter, Shannon Snyder and husband Michael of Saginaw; sister-in-law Rolanda Willey of Brownwood; 7 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Thurstene Aldridge; father, George R. Aldridge; and mother, Lois Aldridge. Heartland Funeral Home, Early ∼ I knew Bob for more then 50 years. Bob and I worked together when we both worked for Arrow Coach Lines which later was named Arrow Trailways of Texas. Bob worked in the office and I was one of the Charter Bus Drivers. Bob could sell Charters like no other I had known. I took lots of the Charters that He sold to Canada and all over the USA. He was a man that you knew was your Friend from the first time you met Him. and He would help you in any way He could. I will always remember Him as one of my best Friends. Rest in Piece Bob, you will always be remembered as a down to earth kind of Man. Thank you for all the Memories you left to all of us. I also need to say that no one was above His Family. His Wife and Children were His first Love. He always had good things to say about them and Bob was never the same after His Wife passed away. I know that today He is Happy again with His Wife.
