Bio

Fay L. Korff Keilers Fay L. Korff Keilers, age 90, of Austin died Friday, May 28, 2004, at Pflugerville Care Center. She was born March 16, 1914, near Brady, Texas. Fay attended school in Woodsboro, Texas where she married Werner Keilers in November 1933. They also lived in Warrenton, Texas moved to Austin in 1956. Fay was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a Honorary Life member of the Austin Texas A&M University Mothers' Club. Fay was first and foremost a wife and mother to a large family, always cooking and taking care of her family, friends and neighbors. She made wonderful dewberry pies as well as pecan pies from the pecan trees she helped Werner grow and develop into a pecan variety that bears the Keilers name. She loved to garden and preserve the food she harvested. Fay was also a Stanley Products dealer for 25 years. Fay was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Werner Keilers, brothers, Erwin and Phillip Korff and sister Norma Keilers. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, James and Jean Keilers of Dublin, Dennis and Rosanne Keilers of Stephenville, Robert and Karen Keilers of Austin; daughters and sons-in-law, Loraine and Hugo Bazan of Austin, Mary and Windell Hayes of Bastrop and Doris and Jerry Schappe of Marble Falls; 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren also survive her. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 31, 2004, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 1 at Weed-Corley-Fish Chapel at 10:30 a.m. followed by graveside services at Austin Memorial Park. Pastor Tim Anderson along with her grandson Pastor Carlos Bazan will be officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
