Bio
Virginia went to Jesus May 23rd, 2021, after complications from a hip fracture. She was born in West, Texas in 1928, where she lived until she married Lawrence Monroe "Dick" Ledenham, who passed in 1992. They eventually settled in San Antonio where they raised two daughters, Diane Niccum and Laura Roberts. She loved her church, Castle Hills First Baptist, where over decades, she served in many capacities right up into her nineties. She loved and studied The Bible and sang in her church Senior Choir where they visited and sang at local retirement facilities. In addition to her two daughters, she leaves behind sons in law Tim Niccum and Larry Roberts, grand and great grandchildren, Aimee and Steven Neinast, sons, Wesley, James and Levi, Brett and Jill Niccum, children Jackson and Savanna, Phillip and Bonnie Roberts, daughter Katherine, and Joel Roberts. She was the last in her Sawyer/Beard family, preceded by parents Albert Sawyer and Lura Beard Sawyer, siblings Bobby Sawyer, Ann Marie Holland and Frances Nixon. She dearly loved her many nieces and nephews, who loved their Aunt Jenny. A small family service was held for her immediate family, who will be with her Again in Eternity!
