Inscription: SARAH ANN Wife of R. R. COLLIER. Dau of Frederick & Sarah OBERTHIER. BORN Oct. 5. 1830. DIED Apr. 27. 1858. AGED 27 ys. 6 ms. 24 ds. Sarah Ann Oberthier was the first wife of Rufus Robert Collier, married 3 Aug 1852 in Smith County, Texas. They had two children, Laura C. Collier and John Frederick Collier. I have her small Bible inscribed inside "Presented to Sarah Ann Oberthier by her father March 1st, 1847." - Apala Dickey Wilson
