Mary L Moore was the daughter of Clyde Hillery Norris and Louise Naomi Douglas. She was born in Mobile, Alabama and was married to Matt E Moore, born in Mobile, Alabama. They had two daughters, Marilyn Louise Moore Trippe and Ann Douglas Moore. They adopted their eldest granddaughter Mary Ann Moore-Woodworth. She had one sister, Sarah Lynn Norris-Harris.
