Charles Edward Estes, 58 passed away on November 1, 2020 at the Hemingford Care Center. He was born December 27th 1961 to Myrle and Mary Estes. Chuck was the 7th of 8, the only boy. His sisters will miss his smile and colorful sense of humor. Chuck was bright and attended Victory Hill School K-8, Scottsbluff Junior, Senior High School. He moved to Texas for trade school. Chuck loved junior baseball, his motor bikes, fishing, camping with the family and playing Battleship with his mom. He enjoyed watching Nebraska football. He was diagnosed with schizophrenia in his teen years. Chuck was stubborn, and we are thankful for those who appreciated and cared for him. Proceeding Chuck in death are his Mom, Mary and his Dad, Myrle, and his infant niece Michelle Wilson. Surviving family, Sue (Richard) Wilson of Cheyenne, Joyce Walters of Austin, TX, Bette (Kelly) Durnal of Gering, Kay (Dennis) Cardiff of Mitchell, Laurie (Doug) Winters of Scottsbluff, Nancy (Randy) Girdner of Nampa, ID, and Bonnie (Don) Fox of Scottsbluff. 15, 21 great, and 5 great, great nieces and nephews. A graveside memory internment will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens 10:30 a.m. June 5th with a reception to follow at Rubidoux Park meeting room. Published by The Star-Herald on May 30, 2021.
