Bio
Bruckner, Robert E. Ed.D. "Bob" Bob was a long-time educator, beginning as a teacher in Westside Community Schools. After a brief time as a principal in Ft. Dodge, Iowa, Bob returned to Westside and, over time, served as principal at Hillside, Loveland, Oakdale, Prairie Lane, and Sunset Hills Elementary Schools. In 1997, he was named National Distinguished Principal representing the State of Nebraska. He retired from Westside in 2008 as Director of Elementary Education. Bob loved golf, weekly coffees with his good friends, and traveling with family and friends. After retirement he put his previous welding training to use by creating beautiful artistic designs. He had an artist's eye and loved designing and re-designing beautiful spaces in his home and yard. When his health halted his ability to work with metals, he turned his attention to cooking, always eager to try something new.
