Fremont Tribune (Fremont, Nebraska) 01 Aug 1984, Wed Page 2 John F. Vachal North Bend - John F. Vachal, 88, of Morse Blufff, died Tuesday evening at Birchwood Manor in North Bend. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Vachal was born May 10, 1896, in Prague and grew up and farmed near Prague until 1930. He then farmed near here and in 1965 moved to Morse Bluff. He had lived at Birchwood Manor for four and one-half years. Mr. Vachal was a member of the ZCBJ Lodge here. On Jan. 2, 1923, he married Julia Racek of Morse Bluff. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Delvin (Betty) Lorenzen of Cedar Bluffs; a brother, Adolh Vachal of Schuyler; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Moser Memorial Chapel in North Bend. The Rev. Donald Proett of Wahoo will officiate. Burial will be in Killian Cemetery west of Morse Bluff. A memorial fund has been established for the North Bend Rescue Squad.
