L.Wayne Cobb, age 85, of Temple, Texas passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at his home in Temple. He was born on August 9, 1936 in Cameron, Texas the son of Emerald Patrick and Lillie Matilda (Baca) Cobb. A visitation will take place on Friday, May 14, 2021 from 12:00pm until the time of service at 2:00pm at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home 3110 Airport Rd. Temple, Texas 76504. Burial will follow at Bellwood Memorial Park. Wayne served his country in the United State Air Force, was a member and former deacon and Sunday School teacher at Memorial Baptist Church in Temple, and was a retired educator most recently a principal having retired from Temple High School in 1992. He is survived by his wife Gladys Cobb of Temple, 4 children, Monica Alvis and husband Mike of Belton, Stacy Triefenbach of Temple, Jill Cooper and husband Stephen of Belton, and Heather Gonzales and husband Paul of Temple, 14 grandchildren, Chandre Geis of New York, Michael Alvis and wife Carrie of Hutto, Chance Alvis and wife Amy of Belton, Jayci Rutherford and husband James of Killeen, John Triefenbach of Temple, Michelle Triefenbach of Kyle ,Dylan Triefenbach and wife Brianna of Temple, Brianna Ray and husband of Belton, Brittani Anderson of Port Aransas, Nicole Pere of Belton, Braeden Cooer of Belton, Christopher Burrow of Dallas, Ashlie Boyd and husband of Temple, and Arianna MIkeska and husband Rylan of Temple, and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Emeraldine Fleming of Temple. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents.
