Bio

Evelyn Taylor, 73, of Amarillo died Friday, Aug. 26, 2005. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Martin Road Chapel Funeral and Cremation Services, 1505 Martin Road. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Taylor was born Feb. 24, 1932, in Butler, Okla., to Dennis Joiner and Billie Triplett Joiner. She married Lee Roy Taylor in Wellington in 1948. He preceded her in death in 2002. Mrs. Taylor had a great sense of humor and a zest for life. She was "Granny" to everyone. She was always there with a helping hand and a smile. "Granny" was there for her family. She enjoyed crocheting, collecting angels and people watching. Survivors include two daughters, Sue Langford of Amarillo and Kathy Nigh of Mountainburg, Ark.; three sons, Gary Taylor of Amarillo, Larry Taylor of Keyes, Okla., and Roy Joe Taylor of Wellington; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
