Bio

Winona Bunch Sims Samples, a lifelong resident of Blue Ridge, Texas passed from this earth to her heavenly home on Friday, May 7th, 2021 at the age of 94. Winona was a strong, independent, smart, and funny lady. She adored her family and through good times and bad was determined to "do her job," which was to be a wife, mother, and homemaker. She did all with style, grace, wit, and dignity. She was preceded in death by her parents, L.H. and Edna Williams Bunch and six siblings, as well as by husbands R.L. "Pete" Sims, and W.V. Samples and daughter Shellie Samples. Winona is survived by four children, R.K. Sims (Judy), Connie Pratt, Phyllis Richardson (Wayne), and Stacie Durham (Jim). Additional survivors include nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren. We, her children, grandchildren, and all who knew her are blessed. What a remarkable spirit!
