Bio
The exact burial site for Martha is unknown. What is known is that she left her birth home in Tennessee in company with her siblings sometime in the mid 1850's. Before moving on and settling in Missouri, the Parker siblings were in Illinois for a short time. It was in Union, Illinois, that Martha Jane Parker married Ephraim J. Pennington on 23 October 1855. A daughter, Sarah was born on 3 August 1856. After that, there's no more mention nor evidence found of Martha, nor of her husband. Her daughter Sarah is found in census records in Missouri and Arkansas, living with Martha's siblings. It might be assumed that Martha died at the birth of her daughter and was buried in Illinois, but that isn't known for certain. Any information to the contrary would be appreciated by this contributor.
