Bio

David Alleyn Tesina was born January 28, 1949, in Lincoln, NE to John Adolph and Louise Katherine (Hoffbauer) Tesina and died August 20, 2013, in Lincoln, NE at the age of 64 years, 6 months and 23 days. David grew up on a farm west of Dwight, NE; he attended Assumption Catholic School and then onto High School in Brainard. David enlisted into the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam War where he served as a fireman. He was honorably discharged. David married Sally Kost January 6, 1973 in David City, NE. They later divorced but remained friends until the very end. After his service to his country, David returned to Dwight and began farming. He also drove over the road for several different companies. He was a mechanic at heart and helped at Rich's Repair in Dwight for many years. In his younger years he enjoyed hot rods especially Pontiacs. Later in life he took a liking to buffalo, so for several years he had a herd of 30 or 40 buffalo. He enjoyed this time of his life very much. Some other interests that he had were reading, gardening especially tomatoes and cucumbers David was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother Jerome. Contributor: mm (50950498)
