Bio
Lorinz "Fritz" Meschwitz, 86, passed away on April 17, 2021. Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 21, from 8 am to 7 pm at Brenham Memorial Chapel with a rosary beginning at 6 pm and family will be present from 3:30 pm to 7 pm. The funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 22, at 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church located at 701 Church St., Brenham, Texas with the burial to follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery Lorinz was born on April 8, 1935, in Brenham, Texas, to the late Ella (Kwiatkowski) and John Meschwitz. Lorinz, known to many as "Fritz", is described as a good man who loved living life. He worked on a ranch for many years and loved doing so. He also worked for Blinn College and retired from there. During his free time, he enjoyed fishing, bird watching, and was a huge fan of the Cleveland Browns! He very much valued his family and friends and would drop everything if he knew they needed him and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by six sisters; two brothers; a granddaughter, Monica Perez; and four nephews. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mary (Martinez) Meschwitz; son, Davey Meschwitz and his wife, Mary; daughter, Nancy Castaneda and her husband, Danny; grandchildren; DJ Meschwitz and his wife, Crystal, Amber Madden and her husband, Randy, and Jessica Perez; and five great-grandchildren; sister, Josephine Ligues; other relatives and many friends.
