Find A Grave contributor 46848597 provided the following: Birth Date: Jan. 18, 1840 Birth Place: Carroll County, Ohio, USA Death Date: Sep. 5, 1924 Death Place: Carrollton, Carroll County, Ohio, USA Father: 102086762 Mother: 22294076 Her obituary in the Free Press Standard, Carrollton, Ohio, Thursday, September 11, 1924. Mrs. Rebecca Brooks, whose maiden name was Walters, was born in Perry Township January 18, 1840. She died at her home in Carrollton September 5, 1924, and was buried at Grandview alongside her husband, who died about four years ago. Rev. E. G. Klotz of the Reformed church was in charge of the services. Rebecca Walters was married to Francis Finley Brooks August 17, 1860. To them were born four children, three of whom are living -- David T., Andrew Elmer and Mrs. Mary Toot. There are also 11 grandchildren surviving. Mrs. Brooks is the last of a family of 12 children. She became a member of Trinity Reformed church when she and Mr. Brooks came to Carrollton. Death was due to cancer of the stomach. She had been confined to her bed for ten weeks previous to her death, during which time she was tenderly cared for by her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Toot. Funeral services were held at the home on North High Street Sunday afternoon, in charge of her pastor.
