Bio

Nell M. Callahan, 85, of Orange died April 18, 2000 at Mid-Jefferson Hospital in Nederland. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange with burial at Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley, La. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A native of Ragley, she lived in Orange most of her life and was a pickle packer for Del Dixie Pickle. Survivors include sons, John C. Callahan of Nederland and Jerry B. Callahan of Wyoming; daughter, Janelle of Colorado; sister, Hazel Robertson of Butner, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
