Published Obituary: The Schuyler Sun (Schuyler, Nebraska) 22 Jun 1995, Thu Page 10 Ben Buresh, 94, Brainard, died June 13, 1995, in David City. Rev. John Ewton officiated at the 10 a.m. funeral service on June 16 at Holesovsky Mortuary in Brainard. Burial was in St. Vitus Cemetery, Touhy. Pallbearers were Ronald Machacek, Richard Machacek, Richard Machacek, Robert Machacek, Albert Divis, Ernest Sabatka and Wayne Buresh. Visitation was June 15 at the funeral home with a family rosary at 7:30 p.m. He was born Oct. 8, 1900, to Joe and Frances (Votova) Buresh on a family farm near Morse Bluff. On Jan 4, 1923, he married Clara Havelka. The couple farmed near Valparaiso and in 1950 they bought a frm two miles east of Brainard. He continued to work on the farm until his retirement in 1970. Survivors include a friend, Albina Lanc, Brainard; two brothers, Tom, Touhy and James, Crete; two sisters, Tillie Machacek, Weston, and Agnes Buresh, Touhy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara; two brothers, Steven and Joe; and two sisters, Bridget Hruby and Margaret Buresh.
