Lynne Schaeffer-Quattrociocchi Sgt. US Air Force ~ Vietnam June 25, 1952 - October 23, 2006 Elk Grove, California After a courageous 16-year battle with cancer, Lynne passed away peacefully at her home in Elk Grove, California, with her loving family by her side on October 23, 2006. She was the loving wife of 17 years to Tony Quattrociocchi; the beloved mother of Holly Thomas (Jamie), Heather Balchus, Michael, and Angela Quattrociocchi; expectant grandmother of two; cherished daughter of Stanley and Clarine Schaeffer; beloved sister of Paula and Scott Schaeffer. A resident of Elk Grove for 17 years, she was a talented artist and craftsperson who retired after 20 years with the U.S. Postal Service. Lynne was a U.S.A.F. veteran of Vietnam and a native of Minnesota, aged 54 years. Friends were welcome to attend the memorial service Sunday, October 29, at the Elk Grove Funeral Chapel, 9101 Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove, California. In recognition of her military service, she was laid to rest with honor at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery near Dixon, California in a private service. ___________________________ Published in The Sacramento Bee from October 27 to 28, 2006.
