TEMPLE, Texas - Roger Lee Barnes, 63, of Temple, Texas, passed away April 4, 2021, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior. A memorial service will be held in Howard County at a later date. Roger was born Sept. 11, 1957, in Ord, to Byron and Dorine Barnes. He lived in Cotesfield and St. Paul until moving to Jenks, Okla. There he graduated from Jenks High School. On May 13, 1995, he was united in marriage to Linda Harrison. He graduated from Victory Bible College in 1997 in Tulsa, Okla. Roger and Linda then moved back to Nebraska, where they lived in Cotesfield and Elba. Roger worked as a heating and air conditioning technician in Grand Island. The couple also owned a cafe in Elba for a time. In 2017, they moved to Temple, Texas, where they owned and operated Roger's Handyman Services until his health began to fail.
