Wife of F1 Arthur Joseph Schuchert Jr US Navy Evelyn H. Schuchert, born July 28, 1922, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 12, 2021. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arthur J. Schuchert, Jr, on March 10, 2008. Evelyn is survived by her four children, sister, grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Evelyn lived a long, happy life which can be mostly attributed to her many activities. She exercised daily, water skied well into her sixties, did her own housekeeping, washed her car every week, and even found time to plant a garden every year. She was always excited when her first tomatoes would set. Evelyn was also an avid bridge player. She was a member of several clubs that met two to three times a week to play her favorite card game. She managed all of these things while building a 33-year career working for the Federal Government. Upon retirement, she held the prestigious position as Chief of the HQ Electronic Security Command's Organization Division at Kelly Air Force Base. Those of us who were privileged to know and love her will miss her dearly.
