Bio
Frank Zrubek, 82, prominent landowner in Granger, passed away this morning at his home on Route 2. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock at the family home, followed by 10 o'clock services at the Saint Cyril and Methodius Church of Granger with the Mgr. John Vanecek, Father George Tydlacka, and I. Valenta officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery under the direction of the Gilstrap Funeral Directors. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Rosary service will be held this evening at 7 o'clock at the family home on Route 2, Granger. The deceased, born March 19, 1964, in Czechoslovakia, came to this country at the age of 19 years. He was a resident of Fayette County before moving to Granger 51 years ago. Mr. Zrubek was a director in the Granger National Bank, member of the SPJST order, and officer of the RVOS Fire Insurance Society of Granger. His survivors are four daughters Mrs. Jim J. Kalick, and Mrs. Roman Michna of Granger, Mrs. Em. Fojtik of Taylor, and Mrs. Frank Krejci of Jarrell; three sons, Raymond, Frank J. and Joseph Zrubek of Taylor; 29 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. His wife preceded him in death in 1931.
