Bio
Married to Gertrude Fran (Oeselke) Hagemann. They had nine children: Mary, John, Anna, Henry, Conrad, Julia, Bernardine, Hubert and Pauline. Weekly Schuyler Sun (Schuyler, Nebraska), Thursday, October 14, 1926: "ANTON HAGEMANN Funeral services were held at Saints Peter and Paul's church at Howells on Friday with the Rev. Fr. Buerger officiating at requiem mass for Anton Hagemann, a pioneer of that community, who died Tuesday at the family home. Mr. Hagemann was born 72 years ago in Westphalia, Germany and came to America at the age of 46. His wife preceded him in death thirty-four years ago. He is survived by five daughters: Mrs. Adolph Behrens of Howells; Mrs. Albert Winkler of Columbus; Miss Bernadine of Omaha, and Miss Julia at home; John, of Petersburg; Henry of Snyder; Conrad of Howells, and Hubert at home." Don't believe his arrival in America stated in article is correct, since all the children were born in Colfax County.
