Bio

Binky Monk, age 65, of Lovelady, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the Crockett Medical Center. Binky was born August 13, 1955 to parents, Benjamin David Monk and Norma Dell Monzingo Monk. He was a lifetime resident of Lovelady and graduated from Lovelady High School in 1974. Binky married Debbie Hester June 23, 1979 having two sons, Kyle and Brandon. He served as Lovelady Fire Chief from 1981 to 1987 and was a constable for the Houston County Sheriff Office for 16 years. He also worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice retiring after many years of service. Binky never met a stranger and loved go on cruises with Debbie, always planning ahead to the next one. He was preceded in death by parents, Ben and Norma Dell Monk; grandparents, Mutt and Eslie Monzingo, W. A. and Bertha Monk. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2021 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Lovelady Antioch Cemetery. CALLAWAY-ALLEE FUNERAL HOME
