Aileen Bernice Bartosh Pokorny, 104, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23rd at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment is to follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. A daughter of the late Joseph E. Bartosh and Elizabeth Krajca Bartosh, Aileen was born on August 13, 1920, in Wichita Falls. She graduated from Italy High School, Italy, Texas. On June 16, 1943, Aileen married Archie Pokorny. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and Fedway Department store downtown for about 20 years. Aileen enjoyed gardening, working in her yard and doing for others. Aileen was a member of Catholic Daughters of America 309, Wichita Falls and Altar Society of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She served as vice-president FAC of SPJST Life Insurance Company Lodge 76 of Wichita Falls. Along with her parents, Aileen was also preceded in death by her husband, Archie Pokorny.
