Bio
Erda B. Bailey, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, July 31, 2000. She was the widow of Blue Bailey, her husband of 57 years. Erda had an extensive work history that included The Chandler Hotel, The Mack Hotel, Blue Bailey Trucking, Hissom Memorial and Sapulpa Public Schools. She was devoted to her family and will be remembered for the dedication and happiness that she brought to so many lives. She is survived by: daughters, Jeanne Bailey, Chandler, Pat Syrles and husband, Ray, Muskogee, Barbara Howerton, Tulsa; grandchildren, Tom Syrles, Marcia Tingle, Vicki Butler, Larry Heath, Holly Crothers, Guy Howerton; twelve great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Lina Hogg and Shirley Morganti; brothers, Waldo, Dean and Junior Webster; sisters-in-law, Nola and Bernice Webster; along with a host of friends including the Ken Cochran Family that was so very kind and helpful to her. Service celebrating Erda's life is scheduled for Thursday, August 3 at 10:30 a.m. at Parkview Baptist Church with interment at Davenport Cemetery. The eulogy will be delivered by grandson, Guy Bailey Howerton. Smith, Sapulpa. (Tulsa World)(MB)
