When Martha Elizabeth Or Mattie Burchett was born on 27 September 1876, in Richland Township, Decatur, Iowa, United States, her father, Abraham Anderson Burchett, was 29 and her mother, Little Narvesta Wheelis, was 35. She married Jabez Eliot Beard on 1 July 1896, in Westerville, Decatur, Iowa, United States. They were the parents of Cleta Lillie 1898-1931, Howard Norval 1900-1981, Vesta Willa 1902-1989, Esther Chloe 1905-1958, Fred Anderson 1907-2001, Myron Albert Eliott 1909-1985. After becoming widowed in 1910, Mattie married Horace Greeley Sept 27, 1911. They were the parents of Horace Edgar 1912-1913, Charles Lawrence 1913-1963, William Franklin 1915-1959, Jay R Greeley - 1917-1971; Robert Burchett Greely 1920- 27 Sep 2008. Mattie lived in Decatur, Iowa, United States in 1895. She died on 19 June 1945, in Long Beach, Los Angeles, California, United States, at the age of 68, and was buried in Sunnyside Cemetery, (now called Forest Lawn Memorial Park) Long Beach, Los Angeles, California, United States.
