Mrs. SARAH JANE (REEVES) SMITH was the daughter of William Troy Reeves and Mrs. Rachel Charlotte "Lottie" (Medlin Reeves) Starr. Obituary "Rites Held for Harleton Resident --- Mrs. Sarah Jane Smith, 72, of Route 1, Harleton, died at 9:45 o'clock Friday night at Kahn Memorial Hospital, following an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Piney Church. The Rev. Edgar Craver officiated. Interment followed in Piney Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was born march 4, 1877, in Harrison County, and she resided in this county her entire life. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Troy Reeves. She and her husband, Jim B. Smith, who survives her, were married January 6, 1900. Other survivors include a son, Gilbert Smith Sr., of Harleton; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren."
