Edward is a son of Mary Ann Fearn and William Street of Glamorgan, Wales, United Kingdom. He married Gladys Rees, daughter of Ann Jenkins and Thomas John Rees 2 August 1868 at Pontypridd, Glamorgan, Wales. She was the widow of David Davies, being married to Davies only about a year before his death. Edward and Gladys had six known children prior to his death in Wales. They were: William Street 1868-1943; John Street 1869-1931; Ann Street 1871-abt 1874; Maria Street 1873-1873; Mary Ann Street 1874-1879; and Edwin Thomas Street 1876-1900. After Edwin's death, Gladys and her three surviving sons boarded the sailing ship Wyoming 2 September 1882 at Liverpool, England immigrating to America. They arrived 12 September of that year at the Port of New York. The settled in Utah Territory and eventually at Utah and Carbon Counties. Gladys married a third time to Evan E. Edwards on 24 August 1904 at Salt lake City. They had no children of record. After Gladys' death in Carbon County, Edwards married an Emily Crofts, widow of William Leyshon.
