Bio
Barbara (Harvey) Keeling, 68, a native Austinite, peacefully became one of God's angels on May 23, 2010 at her home in Austin, after a very courageous battle of breast cancer with brain mets. She is preceded in death by her parents Marzellia and C.A. Harvey and a grandson, Reno Grant Keeling. On January 22, 1960 Barbara married the love of her life and friend (Skinny) Don Keeling. They were fortunate enough to get to celebrate 50 happy years of marriage. Survivors include their four children: sons Clay Keeling and wife Katie of Liberty Hill, Texas, Cliff Keeling and wife Terry of Red Oak, Texas; daughters, Cindy Keeling Bates and husband Joey of Pflugerville, Texas, and Laurie Keeling McNeil of Vanderbilt, Texas; grandchildren: Drew, Madison and Ally of Liberty Hill, Texas; Calah, Donny, Aubrey and Colton of Red Oak, Texas; Adam, Bailey and Brooke of Pflugerville, Texas, Luke and Parker of Vanderbilt, Texas; brother, Preston Harvey and wife Jeanne of Georgetown, Texas; sister, Sandra Harvey Rice and husband Raymond of Houston, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Preston Harvey, Kevin Harvey, Charles Harvey, Raymond Rice, Dale Rice, and Derek Rice. The family wishes to extend an extra special thank you to Barbara's dear sister, Sandra Rice, for the countless hours of loving care she provided. They would also like to thank her granddaughter Brooke Bates for the numerous selfless nights she kept her Granny company. Funeral arrangements are being provided by Providence Funeral Home in Taylor. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Providence Funeral Home, Taylor, Texas. A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Providence Funeral Home Chapel, Taylor, Texas.
