Bio

Leon L. Haas left his earthly life and entered his heavenly home on March 17, 2021 at the age of 79. He leaves behind his wife, Anada, two sons, Clay (Jackie) and Chris (Reina) and four granddaughters, Meagan, Danielle, Lauren, and Haley. His family was his pride and joy and the loves of his life. Also, brother, Robert (Barbara), nieces, Amy Jacobs, Jaime Grider (Ben), Robin Speed (Michael) and nephew, Brad Haas (Lynette) and their families. Leon was a faithful man of God. From the time, at the age of 23, when he surrendered his life to Jesus, he never looked back. He served faithfully in each church he attended and at the age of 33, God called him into full time gospel ministry. He graduated from SWBTS and pastored faithfully small churches for over 25 years. Before retiring in 2017, he faithfully served as a chaplain for several nursing homes and then as a Hospice chaplain for 15 years. He loved music, playing his guitar and Victory Life Church. Proceeding him in death are his parents, Victoria and Morris Claiborne, sister, Vera Jacobs, father, Leo Frank Haas and grandson, Hudson Haas. Funeral service for Mr. Haas will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 22, 2021 at Fisher Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Armstrong officiating. Interment will be held in Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas. Family and friends will gather to visit from 10 to 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 22, 2021 at the funeral home before service time. The family request all in attendance to WEAR MASK please. Pallbearers will be Jeff Haas, Rick Daniels, Jimmie Shankles, Dale Witt and Bobby Reynolds.
